Arsenal Thrash Crystal Palace
Despite a little shakiness, Arsenal managed to show everyone who’s the boss after they thrashed Crystal Palace a handsome 5-0. Gabriel Magalhaes opened the scoring for ‘The Gunners’ in the 11th minute, with Palace’s Dean Henderson complementing his efforts with a 37th-minute own goal. Arsenal weren’t done, however, with Leandro Trossard coming on to score their third in the 59th minute.
Gabriel Martinelli Brace
As if Arsenal were high on some liquid firepower, Gabriel Martinelli went on to score a brace netting in his first in 90 + 4′. Yes, well over stoppage time, and if he hadn’t realized he’d scored, Martinelli then plugged his second in 90 + 5′ confirming to himself that he’d indeed seen the back of Crystal Palace’s net. That was it, Arsenal had ended the game a solid 5-0 and reassured us all that Mikel Arteta is no joke.

Liverpool Nick Bournemouth
On the other side of the top four, Liverpool were in for a kill as they went on to nick Bournemouth a good 4-0.
Darwin Nunez and Diogo Jota Braces
Liverpool’s fantastic four goals were actually double-doubles from stars Darwin Nunez and Diogo Jota who both scored a brace. Nunez netted in his first in the 49th minute, before taking a back seat to let Jota shine. Jota then came on to score his first in the 70th minute and the second in the 79th minute before handing the baton back to Nunez.

Nunez then completed his brace with a wonderous 90 + 3′ strike. Liverpool had won the game solidly and catapulted themselves to the top of the EPL Table once again.

Ivan Toney, who’d been handed an 8-month ban, finally resurged after over 200 days without scoring, netting in Brentford’s first in the 19th minute. To break the deadlock, Brentford’s Ben Mee scored their second in the 58th minute, a little while before Nottm’s Chris Wood equalized for them in the 65th minute. Brentford now needed something special and something special they got in the form of a 68th-minute goal by Neal Maupay.
West Ham Draw Sheffield United
West Ham, in turn, were locked to a 2-2 deadlock with Sheffield United, after both teams gave tooth and nail to outdo the other. Things started unraveling with a Maxwell Cornet goal in the 28th minute for West Ham. It was his first goal for West Ham and it took him 28 appearances before scoring for them.
In response, Sheffield’s Ben Brereton Diaz equalized in the 44th minute, his first goal for the team. Then came a James Ward-Prowse penalty conversion in the 79th minute that put West Ham 2-1 ahead. The penalty was a result of foul play with Sheffield’s Rhian Brewster being sent off in 90 + 3′.

Sheffield weren’t ones to relent, however, and equalized via an Oli McBurnie penalty in 90 + 13′. The penalty was a result of McBurnie being fouled by the goalkeeper, shortly after West Ham’s Vladimir Coufal was sent off in 90 + 7′ after he was shown a second yellow card. The game ended 2-2, a reprieve for Sheffield who’ve been trying to stay off the relegation zone.
