One of the most captivating movies ever made, Back to the Future is a late eighties and early nineties classic that will have techies mind-blown. If you’re a ‘nerd’ or ‘geek’ then this one is for you.
The Trio
Back to the Future is a movie that features 3 parts. Part one starts with Marty McFly, played by Michael J. Fox, who’s a boy who has his whole life ahead of him. Marty is thrust into the past when his friend disgraced scientist, Dr. Emmett Brown, played by Christopher Lloyd, invents a time machine. Marty escapes to the past when the ‘Doc’ is attacked by terrorists he stole plutonium from to make the time machines.
Back to the Future Summary
Part One: 1955
When Marty gets to the past, 1955, he discovers that he’s been taken back to the time when his parents met. However, he comes off as captivating to his mom, who develops a liking or ‘the hots’ for him. Marty has to dissuade her to go for his dad instead or he risks not even being born. His nemesis, Biff Tannen, played by Thomas F. Wilson, is also present and makes his life hell as he tries to figure out how to get the Doc to send him back to the future
Part Two: 2015
Part two then sees Marty sent to the future after Doc visits and discovers that Marty’s kids are in trouble. Marty has to go to the year 2015 to save his son from going to jail and prevent a string of events that would destroy his family. To our disappointment, their vision of the future is much trailed by today’s reality.
Part 3: 1855
Part three sees Marty sent back to the past, 1855, where Doc is struck by lightning that triggers his time machine to activate, sending him back to the Wild West. Marty has to go back to save Doc who he discovers is killed by Biff’s ancestor back then. The third part caps the movie with a heavily entertaining look back to the 19th century.
Best Movie Ever
Back to the Future is by far the best movie we’ve ever watched. It’s hilarious, beautifully thought out, and just complicated enough to throw your hat off. It’s a genius work of art and those who haven’t watched it should, as soon as can be done. Directed by Steven Spielberg, it’s a beautiful and inspiring classic that deserves 30-plus Oscars.
Our Rating
We loved Back to the Future. Absolutely loved it. We give it a 9.9/10. The 0.1 is an error margin for the space-time continuum. Make sure you watch the movie and share it on social media. It’s our hope that if we all make enough noise about it, the creators will make a sequel. What a movie ; What a classic!
