EPL GW 28 has just wound down and, despite a number of postponements, saw Arsenal secure another crucial win as Tottenham and Chelsea were held to draws. Gameweek 28 was largely uneventful as there were a number of postponements owing to dual engagements for most of the big teams. Here’s how it went down.
Arsenal Secure Win Against Crystal Palace
Arsenal continued their fantastic English Premier League run after they beat Crystal palace 4-1 and secured another crucial win and the 3-point reward. Arsenal’s goals included a brace from Bukayo Saka and goals by Gabriel Martinelli and Granit Xhaka. Crystal Palace, who sacked their manager Patrick Viera this week, only managed a single goal by Jeffrey Schlupp.
Tottenham Held to a 3-all Draw by Southampton
Spurs weren’t having a great week as they were held to a 3-3 draw by Southampton. Spurs have, of late, been fragmented and lack unison on the pitch. There was even concern from manager Antonio Conte who called out the players for being selfish.

Spurs’ goals came from Pedro Porro, Harry Kane, and Ivan Perisic as Southampton’s came from Che Adams, Theo Walcott, and a penalty conversion by James Ward-Prowse.
Chelsea Held to a 2-All Draw by Everton
Chelsea were also having a not-so-great week in the Premier League as they were held to a 2-2 draw by Everton. Despite signs showing the team was about to have a major comeback, Chelsea have continually disappointed their fans. Everton’s goals came from Abdoulaye Doucure and Ellis Simms. Chelsea’s, in turn, came from Joao Felix and the second was a penalty conversion by Kai Havertz.
Other EPL GW 28 Results: Leicester Held to a Draw as Aston Villa, Leeds, and Newcastle Bag Wins
In other EPL GW 28 Results, Leicester City were held to a 1-1 draw by Brentford. Leicester are just on a downward slump and we still can’t understand why. GW 28 also saw Newcastle beat Nottingham Forest 2-1. Aston Villa, on their part, beat Bournemouth 3-0 as Leeds beat Wolves 4-2.
EPL GW 28 Postponed Games
All other EPL GW 28 games were postponed and they include the following.
- Liverpool v Fulham.
- Man City v West Ham.
- Man United v Brighton.
