EPL GW 31 is almost coming to an end and has been a very action-packed weekend as Manchester United and Manchester City won their respective games, Arsenal had to settle for a draw, and Chelsea and Tottenham lost in their respective matchups. Here’s how the weekend went down and these are the EPL GW 31 Results.

Manchester United Beat Nottingham Forest in a Solid Display of Form

Manchester United today beat Nottingham Forest 2-0, in what was a solid display of form from an otherwise slumpy United. ‘The Red Devils’ came in hot and didn’t let up when push came to shove. Antony scored the opener for Man Utd in the 32nd minute with Diogo Dalot scoring the second in the 76th minute. Dalot’s goal was his first in the Premier League. The win propels Man Utd to third in Premier League standings while Nottm Forest remain 18th and at risk of relegation.

Manchester City Remain on the Heels of Arsenal for the EPL Title

Manchester City continued their pressure on Arsenal with a narrowing gap between the two in the EPL Table. City are actively on the heels of Arsenal and went on to beat Leicester City 3-1. John Stones scored the opener for City in the 5th minute, followed by a brace from Erling Haaland. Leicester only managed a single-goal reply thanks to Kelechi Iheanacho in the 75th minute.

Haaland the Goal Machine: Haaland Scores Yet Another Brace

Erling Haaland scored yet another brace in Man City’s game against Leicester. Haaland first converted a penalty in the 13th minute, followed by a superb strike in the 25th minute to make it two for the football sensation. Haaland is perhaps the best purchase City have ever made in their club history. He’s just a goal machine. Superb.

Arsenal Forced to Settle for a Draw as They Lose Momentum

Arsenal were today forced to settle on a 2-2 draw with West Ham after they gave away their 2-0 lead for the second time. Arsenal had been put ahead by a Gabriel Jesus goal in the 7th minute and a Martin Odegaard goal in the 10th minute. They, however, let up in defense and this saw West Ham score two goals of their own.

West Ham Comeback Denies Arsenal Crucial 3 Points

Said Benrahma opened scoring for West Ham in the 33rd minute when he converted a penalty, with Jarrod Bowen scoring the second in the 54th minute. Both teams, therefore, took home a single point with Arsenal failing to take on the chance to put distance between itself and Manchester City in the Premier League Standings.

Chelsea Lose out to Brighton in EPL GW 31

Chelsea continued their folly campaign losing out 2-1 to Brighton, thanks to an exhilarating comeback by Brighton. Chelsea were put ahead 1-0 by Conor Gallagher who scored in the 13th minute but their lead was short-lived.

Danny Welbeck put the first in for Brighton in the 42nd minute, followed by Julio Enciso who put in his first goal for Brighton and the team’s second in the 69th minute. As a result, Chelsea are still eleventh in EPL Standings with Brighton a distant seventh.

Tottenham Lose out to Bournemouth

Tottenham got a humbling by Bournemouth after they lost out 3-2 to ‘The Cherries’. Bournemouth mounted a spectacular comeback from 1-0 down to make it 3-2. Tottenham’s Son Heung-Min opened the scoring in the 14th minute with Arnaut Danjuma scoring the second in the 88th minute.

Impressive Comeback for Bournemouth Against Spurs in EPL GW 31

Bournemouth’s Matias Vina scored their first in the 38th minute, followed by Dominik Solanke’s in the 51st minute, and Dango Ouattara’s in stoppage time. Solanke assisted the first and scored the second for Bournemouth. The win was a sensation for Bournemouth who have, for the moment, steered clear of the relegation zone at fourteenth in EPL standings while Tottenham remain fifth.
