UCL Quarterfinals Leg 1 Results
Manchester City on Fuego
Manchester City were playing very strongly yesterday, just as strongly as we saw them play in the English Premier League in week 30. City are in a cruise of late, with such a formidable footing in their style of play. They were able to effectively keep Bayern Munich at bay, but at the same time penetrate Bayern’s defense and put goals behind the net. City are now 3-0 ahead on aggregate, waiting for the 2nd leg match to determine which of the two teams will head to the UEFA Champions League Semi-finals.

Goals for Rodri, Silva and Haaland
City’s goals started coming in thanks to Rodri who scored his first Champions League goal in the 27th minute. Bernardo Silva made it 2-0 with his goal in the 70th minute as King Erling Haaland, royal majesty and superhero of goal-scoring made it three with his fantastic strike in the 76th minute. Mind you, Haaland has scored 43 goals in 26 games. Unbelievable!

Inter Beat Benfica
Inter Milan, on their part, beat Benfica a satisfactory 2-0, thanks to goals by Nicolo Barella in the 51st minute and a Romelu Lukaku penalty conversion in the 82nd minute. The win is crucial for Inter as Benfica is one of those teams that can all of a sudden turn out to be very lethal. We may even see Benfica turn the tides in the 2nd leg match with a 5-0 win against Inter. As such, Inter did the right thing to capitalize when they had the chance, and put themselves 2-0 ahead on aggregate.
