July 23rd, 2024: Killer Police, Protest Decoy, and a Night of Terror in Tuesday 23rd July Gen Z Protests
Despite what started as a relatively calm day across the country, the night withheld its terror as following a day of nationwide Gen Z anti-government protests, a night of terror ensued for residents of several residential estates in Nairobi.
Protest Decoy: Gen Zs Misdirect the Authorities on the Venue of their Tuesday Protests Sending Police and Military Officers in the Wrong Direction
The masterstroke of the Gen Z protests thus far was the decoy they created for their Tuesday 23rd July protests. Gen Zs, leading up to the day, announced on X and other platforms that they were set on occupying Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, JKIA in what would be #OccupyJKIA protests.

Pro-Government Protestors?: Goons Deployed to Nairobi CBD and Other Towns in the Country
As if in unofficial preparations for the Gen Z protests, many goons on motorcycles were seen grouping in fuel stations where they were lining up to fuel.

The Unadvisable President Fanning the Flames
President Ruto, in the various decisions he has made since the onset of the uprising, has only been fanning the flames of the protests. It’s gotten to a point where everyone wonders who advises the president to do the opposite thing from what would end the Gen Z protests: meet the demands of the Gen Zs fully and eradicate corruption from his government.

Some have said that President Ruto ‘advises himself’ and does not take advice from anyone. Whatever the case, he needs to step out of whatever hole he is living in and meet the realities: he will have to resign if he doesn’t meet the demands of the Gen Z protestors.
