Why is Sauti Sol Splitting Up?

Sauti Sol is splitting up and taking an “indefinite hiatus” to allow each of the band’s members to take on their individual projects. It’s a common phenomenon for bands to split up; after each of the members starts to pursue their individual careers and feels they have come of age in their craft.

All of Sauti Sol’s members have each dropped a project of their own, expressing their unique sound and exploring their style. The split reminds us of Just a Band’s split and how that was such a momentous loss to music as a whole. Listen to Bien’s No Body, one of our fave jams, below.

Is there Bad Blood in Sauti Sol’s Split?

No. There is no bad blood between the members and as per the statement, they remain friends and their upcoming tour will be “a testament to their enduring bond of friendship and partnership built over 20 years in the industry”.
