Not signing former Tottenham Captain Harry Kane has come back to haunt Manchester United, with Kane helping beat them in Matchday 1 of the UEFA Champions League Group Stage. Matchday 1 has been full of action and here\u2019s the latest.<\/p>\n

Kane Helps Bayern Beat Manchester United in Hard-Fought UCL Group Stage Matchup<\/h2>\n

Harry Kane, now number 9 in FC Bayern Munich, helped the Germans beat Manchester United 4-3, in what was an epic UCL Group Stage clash. Leroy Sane put Bayern ahead in the 29th minute with an impeccable strike, before Serge Gnabry made it two 4 minutes later.<\/p>\n

Debut at Last: Rasmus Hojlund Scores His Debut Goal for Man United<\/h3>\n

Man United\u2019s recent signing and new point man, Rasmus Hojlund then scored Man United\u2019s first in the 49th minute, making it his debut and well-awaited goal.<\/p>\n

Kane in for the Pounce<\/h3>\n

Then came the second half and Harry Kane went in for the pounce, converting a penalty fantastically in the 53rd minute. The game dragged on and come the 88th minute, Casemiro made it two for United, but the reprieve wouldn\u2019t last for long as Bayern\u2019s Mathys Tel made it four for Bayern 2 minutes into stoppage time.<\/p>\n

Brace for Casemiro<\/h3>\n

Casemiro then came back to make it 3 for Man United, scoring his second goal 5 minutes into stoppage time and making it a brace for himself. He proved to the naysayers that indeed, he can be a goalscorer and even score multiple goals especially when Man United need them the most.<\/p>\n

Well Done ten Hag!<\/h3>\n

What stood out for me in yesterday\u2019s game was just how well Man United played, despite being clearly outmatched by Bayern. Man United picked themselves up, dusted their boots, and went to war. That fight I saw in them yesterday is what we Man Utd fans expect of them in every game. I also think United performed so well since Harry Maguire was not around. He missed out on the game due to injury.<\/p>\n

Yes Arteta,, Yess!!: Arsenal Beat PSV in First UCL Fixture in 6 Years<\/h2>\n

In another of yesterday\u2019s games, Arsenal beat PSV Eindhoven 4-0, in what was a spectacular performance given that Arsenal had been away from the Champions League for 6 years. Mikel Arteta has not only taken them back but he\u2019s showing that he intends to make an impact in the league.<\/p>\n

Bukayo Saka opened the scoring for \u2018The Gunners\u2019 in the 8th minute, with Leandro Trossard, who\u2019s seemingly in fantastic form, scoring their second in the 20th minute. Gabriel Jesus then went in to make it three in the 38th minute, before Martin Odegaard capped Arsenal\u2019s lead with their fourth in the 70th minute.<\/p>\n

We expect Mikel Arteta and Arsenal to bring the heat this UCL season and we can\u2019t wait to see how far they get.<\/p>\n

Manchester City Beat Crvena Zvezda<\/h2>\n

In a match played two days ago, Man City beat Crvena Zvezda 3-1, to start their UCL defense campaign on a high note. Crvena\u2019s Osman Bukari opened the scoring in the 45th minute, putting them ahead.<\/p>\n

Alvarez Brace<\/h3>\n

Julian Alvarez then came on to score a brace, with his first goal going in in the 47th minute and the second in the 60th minute. Alvarez has been phenomenal for Man City and if they hone his skills well, which I am sure they will, he\u2019ll be a star to reckon with; and he arguably already is.<\/p>\n

Dependable Rodri<\/h3>\n

At this point, City were leading 2-1, and their dependable Captain Rodri, came in to cement the goal with his 73rd-minute goal. Rodri has led the club so well, especially showing great leadership in the few weeks manager Pep Guardiola was away for treatment.<\/p>\n

Real Madrid Beat Union Berlin<\/h2>\n

Real Madrid weren\u2019t sparing blows as they welcomed league entrants Union Berlin into the Big Boy\u2019s Club. Carlo Ancelotti\u2019s men were steadfast, even as Union Berlin held their stance for most of normal time. Normal time elapsed, and the game went into stoppage time with both teams seemingly in a hold. A clean sheet wouldn\u2019t have hurt either of the teams, but that was not good enough for Ancelotti\u2019s men.<\/p>\n

A Bellingham to Behold<\/h3>\n

Jude Bellingham then cheekily positioned himself at the right place at the right time, getting the chance to put Real ahead 5 minutes into stoppage time. Bellingham is constantly proving he was an excellent purchase for Real Madrid, and we are glad that he found a home where he can absolutely shine.<\/p>\n

Inter Draw Real Sociedad<\/h2>\n

Inter Milan, a really impressive contender for the UCL, drew Real Sociedad 1-1 in what looks like a slumpy start for the Spaniards. Brais Mendez opened the scoring for Sociedad in the 4th minute, with Lautaro Martinez coming on to equalize for Inter in the 87th minute. Both teams played satisfactorily well even as we expected much more from Inter.<\/p>\n

Paris Saint-Germain Beat Dortmund<\/h2>\n

PSG came out guns blazing and beat BVB 2-0, thanks to impeccable strikes from Kylian Mbappe, who converted a penalty in the 49th minute, and Achraf Hakimi who put PSG 2 ahead in the 58th minute. We expect PSG to be one of the main league contenders this season, and we hope that Messi\u2019s exit doesn\u2019t spell UCL doom for the Parisians.<\/p>\n

Newcastle Draw AC Milan<\/h2>\n

Recent UCL qualifiers Newcastle were held to a 0-0 draw by AC Milan, with Howe\u2019s men failing to spark a positive result. Albeit being a tough game as they were playing against Jose Mourinho\u2019s team, Newcastle seemed to continue flailing as they\u2019ve been in the recent past, failing to break the deadlock. At least they kept a clean sheet but that should never be enough for any team looking to have an impact in the UCL.<\/p>\n

Other UCL Group Stage Matchday 1 Results<\/h2>\n

In other Matchday 1 results for the UCL Group Stage, RB Leipzig beat Young Boys 3-1, Porto beat Shakhtar Donetsk 3-1, with Atletico Madrid drawing Lazio 1-1. Barcelona beat Antwerp 5-0, with Feyenoord beating Celtic 2-0 and Galatasaray drawing Copenhagen 2-2. RB Salzburg beat Benfica 2-0 with Napoli beating Braga 2-1.
