Tina Turner passed on yesterday, Wednesday 24th May 2023, after a long illness. She passed away at her home in Switzerland near Zurich, her publicist Bernard Doherty has confirmed. In a statement to People, Doherty said “Tina Turner, the “Queen of Rock’n Roll” has died peacefully today at the age of 83 after a long illness in her home in Küsnacht near Zurich, Switzerland. With her, the world loses a music legend and a role model.”

He also went on to add that “There will be a private funeral ceremony attended by close friends and family. Please respect the privacy of her family at this difficult time.”

She sang her heart out all her career, becoming one of the greatest women to ever entertain. She was an icon and a legend in her own right. Fans and friends sent their condolences to the family, recognizing her contribution to music and the entertainment industry as a whole.
