The Weekend Away is a 2022 movie about a weekend vacation to Croatia where things go awry. The movie stars Leighton Meester who plays Beth and Christina Wolfe who plays Kate. Beth visits Croatia to have a weekend vacation with her friend Kate. Unfortunately, after a night out of drinking and fun, Kate goes missing and is later found to have drowned and possibly murdered.
Mind those Who are Close to You
As things unfold and Beth is caught up in the investigations into Kate’s death, she realizes that she’s been betrayed by those who are closest to her. Her world falls apart as she tries to figure out who killed Kate and why they killed her. It even gets to the point where she is herself accused of the murder by the police. Even so, Beth gets to the bottom of the truth and finds out a shocking detail that changes her life forever.
Our Rating
We rate The Weekend Away 7.5/10. It’s a riveting movie about a murder mystery and secrets, set in beautiful Croatia. It teaches important lessons about not being too trusting and how wretched those we are close to can be without us realizing it. Be sure to watch it and enjoy.
