Aston Villa today floored Chelsea 2-0 at a time when ‘The Blues’ desperately need a win. Chelsea have barely been holding on in the top 10 of the EPL, and needed a win to better their chances of a decent position come the end of the season in about 10 weeks from now.
Aston Villa the Better Team
Aston Villa today played a good game with their shots point-on and only needed 5 shots on target to get their two goals. Chelsea’s efforts paled in comparison as they couldn’t get a single goal past AVL’s net with their 26 shots on target. Chelsea also had significantly more possession, 69% but failed to do much nonetheless. On the other hand, Aston Villa utilized their 39% possession well and converted, bagging three precious points.
Chelsea’s Performance is All Over the Place
Chelsea’s performance is currently all over the place as the team is largely inconsistent. Chelsea are having significantly good games in one week and terrible ones the next. This inconsistency is unlike the DNA of ‘The Blues’ who are a legendary team in their own right.
