Borussia Dortmund have done the impossible and kicked Paris Saint-Germain off the UEFA Champions League to secure a much-coveted spot in the UCL Final. Yes, the underdogs have done it.
The Elusive UCL Trophy for PSG
It’s saddening that PSG have never won the UCL Trophy, despite being in at least one UCL Final back in 2019. The team, a giant in French football have had quite the terrible luck in the Champions League and it’s now continued after they lost out to Borussia Dortmund in the second leg of the UCL 23-24 Semifinals.

We wonder what the team lacks but to me, it seems that despite having a powerful lineup – including greats such as Kylian Mbappe – PSG have not managed to etch that finesse, which is required for international football championship, into their game. BVB, in turn, whose lineup now includes Jadon Sancho (on loan from Man United) went into the game very self-assured and it paid off.

The Underdog Reigns: Borussia Dortmund Kick PSG Off the UEFA Champions League and Reach the UCL 23-24 Final
Perhaps the most exciting news of the night, and the most inspiring, is that BVB managed to beat PSG in the 2nd leg of the UCL Semifinals yesterday and make it to the UCL 23-24 Final. BVB beat PSG 1-0 and 2-0 on aggregate.

The star of the match was Mat Hummels who scored BVB’s only and most important goal, with the home team (PSG) failing to make a reply despite 6 goal post hits in the game.

PSG were raving mad for a goal but it just seems it was not meant to be. BVB will now go on to the UCL Final at Wembley and the team they are to face will be known today as Bayern Munich and Real Madrid go head-to-head for the second leg of the UCL Semifinals. The two teams are held on a 2-2 draw on aggregate.
