Inter Milan Beat AC Milan to Qualify for the UEFA Champions League Final

Inter Milan were clearly the better team yesterday night, as they faced off with AC Milan in the 2nd leg of the UEFA Champions League Semifinals. Inter were already ahead 2-0 on aggregate, after their first leg match, and only needed a draw to secure qualification to the UCL Final.

The game was heavily attended at the San Siro with ticket inquiries exceeding 2 million from all over the world. Reports indicate there were over 80,000 Inter fans and over 8,000 AC Milan fans in attendance.

Lautaro Martinez Puts Inter Ahead in UCL Semi-Final Milan Derby

Lautaro Martinez put Inter Milan ahead in the 74th minute, with Inter dominating the second half of the match. The win is Inter Milan’s eighth consecutive win so far. AC Milan didn’t seem energetic enough and lacked the fervor, or even the sense of urgency, to really try and upend Inter’s lead. Inter now head on to the Champions League Final thanks to a 3-0 aggregate lead.
