Manchester United beat Brentford as Newcastle Hammered West Ham in postponed EPL GW 25 and GW 7 games respectively. Despite the win, United weren’t at all as fantastic as we’d expected them to be. Newcastle, on the other hand, were phenomenal and showed West Ham who’s boss.
Man United Beat Brentford in Postponed EPL GW 25 Game
Manchester United managed to get a 1-0 win against Brentford, barely getting past ‘The Bees’ in their postponed GW 25 game. United’s goal came from Marcus Rashford, who took advantage of a flaw in Brentford’s defense, to score in the 27th minute.
United weren’t at all fantastic and were instead on their toes just trying their best to win the game and did, albeit with just a single goal. Brentford weren’t bad themselves but couldn’t manage a reply goal. The win now sends Man Utd back to fourth place in EPL Standings with 53 points as Brentford are now ninth with 43 points.
Newcastle Hammer West Ham in Postponed EPL GW 7 Game
Newcastle were on fire as they hammered West Ham a proper 5-1 in their postponed EPL GW 7 game. Newcastle played like they were playing a league final and brought the heat to West Ham’s doorstep in a way that was nothing short of startling. If they continue this momentum, I believe we’ll all be in for a rude shock. Newcastle are now 3rd in the Premier League standings with 53 points while West Ham are 15th with 27 points.
Braces for Callum Wilson and Joelinton
Newcastle opened scoring with a Callum Wilson goal in the 6th minute followed by his second, in the 46th minute, to make it a brace. By this time West Ham had scored their reply in the 40th minute, thanks to Kurt Zouma, but this didn’t phase Newcastle at all.
Joelinton had also taken the mantle from Wilson and scored his first in the 13th minute and made it a brace for himself, as well, by scoring a second in the 90th minute. Newcastle’s fourth goal had been scored earlier by Alexander Isak in the 80th minute.
