Manchester City, Chelsea, Tottenham, and Liverpool bagged crucial points in the first of EPL GW 35 games after winning their respective matchups as the Premier League season draws closer to an end. Things are getting pretty heated and it looks like Manchester City will carry the day.

Manchester City did what was needed of them, beating Leeds United 2-1 and bagging a crucial 3 points as they continue upending Arsenal’s glorious ride to the top of EPL Standings. City went in brave and strong as ever, even as Leeds tried their best to give them as much of a hard time as possible.

An Ilkay Gundogan Brace to Boot

The star of City’s prowess in their game was Ilkay Gundogan who scored a brace, boosting City’s league lead with a fantastic performance. Gundogan opened the scoring with his first goal in the 19th minute and followed it up to make it 2-0 with a second in the 27th minute. Leeds only managed a single reply goal, thanks to Rodrigo Moreno in the 85th minute.

Is Gundogan Leaving Manchester City?

Gundogan is speculated to likely leave Manchester City come the end of the season, and this could be a farewell goal bonanza from the veteran city player.

Manchester City Now Comfortably at the Top of EPL Table

Yesterday’s win against Leeds puts Man City comfortably at the top of the EPL Table with 82 points, as Arsenal follow close by with 78 points. A four-point difference with Arsenal is crucial as it means that even if Arsenal win their game today against Newcastle, and that’s a big if, they will still not be able to catch up with Man City.

A Reprieve for Chelsea as They Beat Bournemouth to Bag 3 Points

Chelsea showed us what to expect in the coming season after they beat Bournemouth 3-1 to bag 3 points. Chelsea were playing really well; as well as we wanted them to be playing the entire season, even as their lead is more or less too little too late.

Gallagher, Badiashile, and Joao Felix Seal Chelsea’s Win Against Bournemouth

Conor Gallagher put Chelsea ahead with the opener in the 9th minute, followed by Benoit Badiashile who made it two in the 82nd minute. Joao Felix was not left behind and sealed Chelsea’s win with their third in the 86th minute. Bournemouth didn’t walk away goalless and scored a reply goal in the 21st minute thanks to Matias Vina.

Chelsea have now gone up to eleventh place in Premier League Standings with 42 points, as Bournemouth are fourteenth with 39 points. At the same time, Frank Lampard says that he does not want to be interim manager in his next job.

By having as much time as possible to acclimate to the squad, Pochettino will increase his chances of choosing the best squad for the upcoming EPL season. This is also because more time will give him a chance to know the players better.

Tottenham did really well after they beat Crystal Palace 1-0 and bagged a crucial 3 points in the first of EPL GW 35 games. Spurs were put ahead by a Harry Kane strike in stoppage time just before half-time, with Crystal Palace unable to equalize. Tottenham are still sixth in the EPL Table, now with 57 points, as Crystal Palace are twelfth with 40 points.

Liverpool Beat Brentford Continuing their Push for the EPL Top Four

Liverpool, on their part, beat Brentford 1-0, continuing their push for a spot in the top four of the Premier League. Liverpool were put ahead by a Mohamed Salah goal in the 13th minute, with ‘The Bees’ failing to make a reply goal. Liverpool are now fifth in the EPL Table with 62 points, just a single point behind Manchester United who are fourth with 63 points. Brentford, in turn, are ninth with 50 points.

Other EPL GW 35 Results: Wolves beat Aston Villa

In other EPL GW 35 Results, Wolves beat Aston Villa 1-0 in what breaks a terrible run of losses for them. Toti Gomes put them ahead in the 9th minute, with Aston Villa failing to make a reply goal. Wolves are now thirteenth in the Premier League Table with 40 points, as Aston Villa are eighth with 54 points.
